Foster carer course Train the Trainer

This 1 day training is to train delegates so that they can train facilitators of the Foster Carer course.
Delegates must have previously attended: 2 Day Foundation training AND Parenting Group or Foster Carer Course Facilitators’ training AND have facilitated at least one Solihull Approach parenting group or Foster Carer Course.
This training day is for practitioners who wish to cascade, as part of their work, the Foster Carer Course Facilitators’ training to other local practitioners – so that those practitioners can facilitate the 12-week foster carer course ‘Understanding your foster child’.
The training will include a Trainers’ Manual to support delivery of the cascade training. The Trainers’ Manual includes information about delivering each session and practical guidance for trainers, as well as handouts, etc.
When delivering training the trainers are responsible for:

Ensuring that those delegates they train have previously attended the 2 Day Foundation training and can provide the dates, location and trainers’ names of that training
Providing the Solihull Approach office with the dates and location of the Foster Carer Course Facilitators’ training and the names of those attending
Ensuring that those they train to be facilitators have their own copy of the Foster Carer Course Facilitators’ Manual
Making facilitators aware of the need to provide data returns on their courses/groups on this website

Aim of training:

To train cascade trainers in order to create a critical mass of practitioners who are trained as facilitators of the Solihull Approach Foster Carer Course.

Example content:

Applying the Solihull Approach model to the process of running a training, introduction to the Manual, becoming familiar with the activities.

Prices:

£2439 for a group of 12 or £228 for 1 person attending training in Solihull. This includes the price of the Trainer' Manual. It does not include the price of Resource Packs. This does not include trainers' travel costs or accomodation. We try to use trainers near to you to keep costs to a minimum.
