2 hour workshop for parents of adolescents. This workshop can be used as part of the transition process into Secondary school. It can also be used as a ‘taster’ for the parenting group ‘Understanding your child’s behaviour’. Some schools, when they run the workshop, have a table advertising the group with a sign up sheet. It can also be used as an introduction to the online course for parents ‘Understanding your child’.

To introduce parents to some key concepts around understanding their teenager.

Example content:

Teenager brain development and how this impacts on sleep patterns, risk taking, peer group relationships and reading others' emotional expressions.
